Scholarship Opportunities

We believe in helping our community members reach their educational goals and have several scholarship programs to offer. Please review our eligibility guidelines and download and submit an application.

Deadlines for scholarships may vary, please see each individual scholarship for dates. Please contact AVP of Community Relations and Financial Literacy, Susan Lawson, at slawson@pheplefcu.org with any questions.

If a portion of the application is incomplete, illegible or not included, your application will not be considered for the scholarship.

 

Cash Stash Student Scholarship

Award

$500 Scholarship will be awarded to one High School Senior attending an accredited college/university or technical/trade school full time during the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a member in good standing with Pheple Federal Credit Union and must be enrolled or have received an acceptance letter from an accredited college/ university or technical/trade school for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. *Student Tellers not eligible to apply.

How To Apply

  • Essay : Tell us in a video (2 to 3 minutes) or written (minimum 350 words) essay format “How are Student Credit Union Branches helping to educate students?” and “Explain how a credit union could help you with your future goals after high school?”

Completed application packets must be submitted by Friday, March 28, 2025. If a portion of the application is incomplete, illegible or not included, your application will not be considered for the scholarship.

Winner will be announced Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Winner will be notified via phone.


Christine Saddler Memorial Scholarship

Award

$1,000 Scholarship will be awarded to one Penn Trafford High School student attending an accredited college/university or technical/trade school full time during the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a senior in good standing with Penn Trafford and must be enrolled or have received an acceptance letter from an accredited college/university or technical/trade school for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Joseph D. Radzwill Scholarship

Award

$2,500 Scholarship will be awarded to one Kiski Area High School student attending an accredited college/university or technical/trade school full time during the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a senior in good standing with Kiski Area who is interested in a career in Financial Services, and must be enrolled or have received an acceptance letter from an accredited college/university or technical/trade school for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Greensburg Chapter of Credit Unions Scholarship

Award

The Greensburg Chapter of Credit Unions offers a $500 scholarship annually to a graduating High School Senior who is a Pennsylvania resident and a member of a credit union within the Greensburg Chapter.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited College, University, Technical, or Nursing School, with proof of acceptance required. Applicants must have maintained an open credit union account for over a year prior to graduation and possess a minimum GPA of 3.0.

How To Apply

To apply, students must submit a completed application along with a typed essay of 700 words or less discussing the benefits of credit unions over big banks or their personal experience as a credit union member. Applications should be sent to:

The winner will be notified by April 30th and presented with the scholarship check at the May Chapter Meeting. All application materials become property of the Greensburg Chapter of Credit Unions.


Allegheny-Kiski Valley Chapter of Credit Unions Scholarship

Award

The Allegheny-Kiski Valley Chapter of Credit Unions offers up to four $500 scholarships annually to graduating High School Seniors who are Pennsylvania residents and members of a credit union within the Allegheny-Kiski Valley Chapter.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited College, Business, Technical, or Trade School.

How To Apply

To apply, students must submit a completed application packet. Applications should be sent to:
